This and i mean this is by far the worst beat in the history of beats. I was dealt pocket kings and raised naturally on the button, the big blind called me with Ace-10 off, i obviously didnt know this at the time. Flop comes down King 7 7, hmmm perfect, me thinks. Big blind checks, i make a fairly big bet to disguise my strength, guy thinks for a bit and pushes me all in, i snap call, and we turn over our cards, with me smiling from ear to ear. Turn card 7, River card 7, giving us both quads and his ace kicker plays!!!
Beat that anyone! Ye i had that on internet poker very similar read the botom post on this page just thought imposible wouldnt happen in propper live poker . Ah well hope you didnt lose to much!

played last night
i was big blind with 5 4 suited no raises so checked it down to see a flop.
4 4 7 - nice trips on flop, small blind raised twice the pot thought i would cflat call reel them in, 1 other caller.
next card q small blind went all in, no flush draw on table snap called, 3rd playr folded, cards turned 3rd player had j 7 so folded 2 pair, small blind showed k 7 showing 2 pair 7s and 4s against my trips
rivered a 7 a one outta 2% absolutely gutted

Got to tell you about possibly the worst beat I have ever had............
I was playing in a team tournament. 5 players in the team. after re-buys and top ups we spent about 90quid per man.
Only downside it was my birthday and it was waitress service!! many beers sunk, which is normally a no no when I play.
I played like a nutter, silly hands, but the cards were falling for me. playing 5-3 off suit and landing full houses.
I made it to the final table, we won 100 quid each as a team. I was third highest stacked. I fancied my chances. Cos i was steam boated by this time!
6 hands in..............i got pocket kings. i was big blind. people were raising before me (happy days) i hacked in a token big blind defensive raise. 5 people called.
the flop!! k-k-a
happy days!! people were raising and im sitting on quads!! i just put in a standard raise and was called by 2 ppl.
another ace on the turn. the chip leader whacks in high. i go all in.
he turns over 2 aces.
i nearlly cried!!
jamesmack8 This isnt a badbeat, the best hand won and you were always behind except on flop where all the money DIDNT go in This is a bad beat cus any one wud expect to come out on top with 4 of a kind kings. think id feel sick as well mate.unless the river card was 10(suited) and the other person had jack queen(suited)it was the only hand that cud beat u so it was a bad beat... Got to admitt 4 aces crossed my mind. but i kind of talked myself out of it. the odds on i thought were huge.

online is really getting me down, i should be on conspiracy page for this i think. not once has my connection disconnected, i was in a hand in a cash game with 55 and flop k 8 5, i bet opponent raised i called then connection went after another 5 came, ended up losing about 60 quid, also at the same time same thing on a tournie table this would have put me a big chip leader, i had kk raised, was re raised so called flop came 7 k k. i was lat to act so just called, next card A, the guy raised about pot size then disconnected.
prob just a coincidence that for the first time in 2 years my internet failed me and i partypoker are no way taking away my well earned cash!!!
ps as my internet died before showdown it automatically folded my cards Think partypoker site seen my original post, i got a royal flush last night, came on the turn, nearly got an erection.

Dont really like online poker so just wish i could find a regular place to play live poker. Local casino is alway good place to start. look out for low level buy ins that suit your level. the casinos website usually have a list of upcoming events. when playing live, I always recommend playing a few sit n go's to get used to playing live in a casino.
Luckily I live in Luton and play on sky poker. Its worth it as they always have sat's into big money tourneys in luton, but also cover nottingham, cardiff and a couple more. Hope this helps!!
Jamesmack8 Yeah tried the local casino and never really enjoyed it, just seemed to be the people with the most money did the best, going all in with nothing then re buying. They are the best people to play against, encourage the all in for the pay off! let them re buy and give more money, these players are usually aggressive and very limited in how they play. bv easy to beat Try looking for poker leagues. normally tues/weds nights in pubs. Gets you some live action and you can qualify for tournaments in casinos. (they used to be called champions league)
jamesmack8 Cheers for all that, maybe it was just me cos when ever i played against them i was dominating them and they got really lucky keep hitting the flush or straight. See id find this as happy days. sit there and play tight. make them think you only play kings and aces. take a few wins and show your cards, makes them think your a tight player and will respect you alot more. then you can start playing looser and call their bluff. when you move all in, they will think you have the nuts. in casino's its all about establishing a table image mate. take a few pots and they crap themselves, no matter if they are rich or not!! good luck mate.

i won my biggest win yet yesterday with 250euros, but got bad beat 2day shoved with aces n 1010 called me n beat me on the river wounded never mind i need to stop playin its gettin addictive!

Got entry to a 10k tourney last saturday night, went all in pocket Aces. Pocket 7's called me and they hit a 7 on the flop.

RedDevil92 Lols, ive been in so many tournys holding aces to be dickd over by lesser pairs or stupid hands, this one time i was re raised so i pushed all in with AA and the guy had JQ of course he ended up with 3 queens Internet poker does seem dodgey all in pocket jaks against ace 10. cards came 5/8/8/8/8 he won four of a kind ace kicker, sick beat or wot full house on turn with me 8's n jj. love the footy page and will now check this as wel...
